In St. Joseph’s College we aim, within the framework of the Northern Ireland Curriculum, to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all our pupils. We strive to create the learning conditions in which our pupils can achieve to the maximum of their potential; maturing to become confident, skilled and responsible individuals, able to succeed in an ‘increasingly complex and rapidly changing world.’

Learning for Life and Work
Pupils study the following aspects of Learning for Life and Work
In addition Year 10 KS3 students study modules in Media Studies, Drama and RSE and also complete the International Award. All Key Stage 3 pupils study ICT.
Setting
In Year 8 pupils are placed in mixed ability classes, with classroom assistant support. Students are offered the opportunity to study Irish, French and Spanish. They study two languages of their choice in Year 8 and 9 and one language in Year 10. We take into consideration the information we received from primary schools and information from parents before final class lists are prepared and pupils are set into classes.
We set high standards and children will be challenged to achieve academically.
